The Princess Master Bathroom
The existing Master Bathroom, possibly remodeled in the 90’s, was having a leak from the shower into the dining room’s ceiling. Some other contractors had different ideas of where the leak was coming from. After some inspection we determined that the leak was coming from the shower floor.
At Panther, we highly discourage and choose not to “fix” a shower floor as this opens a wide possibility for future leaks and it would become a waste of money and time to the client and a liability to the company. With that in mind, the client was made aware and suggested to remodel the entire shower itself at the very least. Showers stalls are the most expensive part of a bathroom remodel. Our client was somewhat inclined to remodel the whole bathroom and with that information she decided to go for a full transformation.
She’s a huge fan of pink and I was delighted to be part of this come back trend of “Mamie Pink” bathroom – popularized by First Lady Mamie Eisenhower. It is said that approximately 5 million of the 20 million new homes built between mid-40’s into mid 60’s had cotton candy pink bathrooms.
This master bathroom, however pink, has its modern flair with an upscale multi-function shower fixture, subway glass tiles, a stand-alone bathtub, a large shower bench, a larger shower footage, an exhaust fan with heater and LED lights, as opposed to heated flooring, new pendant lights and new slim fit recessed lights to complete the look.
We nicknamed it “The Princess Bathroom”. Gorgeous and classy.
The PERUCCI Townhome
Guest Bathroom
Our client wanted a “Bahamian motif” color for this room. She picked this beautiful salmon 2” x 12” individual tiles and had us install it in Chevron style with black grout. She chose black octagonal mosaic tiles for the shower floor to go with the main area tile design. The half glass panel is something that many homeowners are choosing to have in their bathroom versus a complete shower enclosure.
As with the master bathroom’s vanity, the existing vanity was kept in place but refinished – both the vanity and countertop. Hardware and faucet kit replaced. New bathroom hardware kit, new toilet. New doors and trims and door hardware. New exhaust fan with Led light/Bluetooth feature.The PERUCCI Townhome Remodel
This was an extensive remodel of a 3-level townhome. It included ripping up all existing carpeted flooring and stairs and replacing it with LVL flooring. installing recessed lights in the living room, pendant lights in the kitchen and dining room, replacement of all outlets and switches throughout the house as well as smoke detectors. Drywall repair and painting of ceilings, walls, doors, trims and baseboards.
The Master Bedroom
This home has a huge master bedroom with a very large master bathroom. The bedroom, although very large with cathedral ceilings, didn’t have a closed so we built one with recessed lights inside.
We also replaced flooring, installed a new ceiling fan with remote control, new baseboards and of course, painted walls, ceiling, doors and trims.
The Master Bathroom
This Mbath had an old, jetted tub, a small shower and a walk-in closet. This was a complete transformation which turned out beautifully, as you can see in the pictures. We created a dividing wall to separate wet and dry areas. Installed an LED exhaust fan with Bluetooth feature. The masterpiece of this gorgeous bathroom was a custom-built murphy door. This murphy door can pivot out to allow entry into the closet and while closed it serves as a bookcase/shelving.
Fireplace:
The fireplace has got a new facade with single planks installed in chevron style. A brand-new fireplace and a tiled hearth.
Kitchen:
Our client decided to keep existing cabinets and refinish them to this beautiful blue. However, a large kitchen, there was a need for more storage. We custom-built a new pantry cabinet with two sides. One side became the spice cabinet and the other – deeper – side, had plenty of depth and shelving for storage.
- A pocket door for the boiler closet was installed adjacent to the custom-built pantry cabinet and a barn door for the laundry closet was installed. This optimized the space with a contemporary look.
- Wallpaper was installed on the window wall, dining room ceiling and stair landing and stairs treads.
- New light fixtures and recessed lights to complement the new look.
New pendant lights were installed on both floors’ foyers.
A new stair railing was installed on the first flight of stairs leading to the second floor and we tiled the landing beside the stairs
